Howdy Y'all ...
- To protect against harmful
ultraviolet radiation that causes cancer and in the worst case scenario the
eye itself would have to be removed.
- Helps the horse to see
better by deflecting the sun from its' eyes much the way the black smeared
on a football players' face protects his eyes.
- Keeping the sun from causing
chronic irritation that can result from prolonged exposure to the sun's
rays.
