What is Permanent Makeup?
Also called Permanent Cosmetics or Cosmetic Tattooing, it is the placement of
pigment just beneath the epidermis of the skin. Although the effects of aging, surgeries
and sun exposure may alter the pigments appearance over time, it is permanent.
For this reason, touch up procedures may be necessary to keep your makeup looking
it's best.

Procedures:
Eyebrows:
Permanent eyebrows can be applied in complimentary colors in a shape that will
frame your face optimally. They can be done in a solid background (nice if you have
some hair of your own, or hair strokes to mimic you own natural brows. A combination
of the two is best for those with no hair in the brow. This gives the most natural-looking
results.
Eyeliner:
Permanent eyeliner is for those that would like to have eyeliner
24/7, not for the occasional wearer of eye makeup. It's great for those with allergies
to traditional cosmetics, wear contacts or have problems applying makeup (unsteady
hands or visual problems). Together we can decide on a color and shape to enhance
your eyes. Equine and bovine eyeliner also available..
Lips:
Beautiful, full shapely lips are attainable with the useof
permanent cosmetics. I can alter the shape to some degree, slightly increase the
appearance in terms of size of the lips, and can correct scared lip lines from trauma,
surgery or cleft lip. Lip liner can be applied to give more definition, correct
uneven lips or add fullness to the mouth. Full lip color can be applied in
a natural hue or a more vivid color.
Medical Tattooing:
-
Permanent Makeup can also be used in
the medical field as well, providing valuable help to patients with:
-
Alopecia
-
Areolar Repigmentation following breast
reconstruction
-
Camouflage of scars
-
Pre-chemotherapy treatment as a pro-active
measure to assist the cancer patient in dealing with impending hair loss.
Scars can be blended into the surrounding skin very effectively with the
use of permanent makeup. If the problem with the scar is one of textural differences
from the surrounding tissue, results can still be obtained, but the best end results
are those in which color is in the tissue.
Areola Repigmentation - For woman who have had a breast reconstructive
surgery, most commonly following treatment for breast cancer, they may have had
a breast mound created surgically, but are left without color in the tissue surrounding
the nipple. What I specialize in is matching the color of the area to the contra
lateral Areolar tissue, essentially "creating" areola where there was none. The
results are spectacular and many times are the "finishing touch" on the reconstructive
surgery, helping make the cancer patient feel more completely restored.
